Initially marketed in Germany under the trade name “Betophalt”, where it has been successfully employed to date in a number of high profile construction projects, such as the Autobahn and Munich’s Airport runways, “FLEXIBLE CONCRETE” consistently out performs all other concrete formulations tested against for both new construction and restoration applications alike.
In either intended use, “FLEXIBLE CONCRETE”, due to its proprietary polymer base, has consistently demonstrated a remarkable degree of elasticity, as well as the ability to quickly bond with virtually any other material, to include previously existing concrete. This latter ability has been particularly significant in considering the employment of “FLEXIBLE CONCRETE” in foundation and dam restoration projects, where unlike other conventional construction materials, “FLEXIBLE CONCRETE” is able to be introduced into cracks in the existing structure under pressure, where its polymer base then allows it to quickly bond with the present concrete materials to form a strong, water tight bond.
